Product Description

The 14 inch sillcock pipe with chrome plated brass body construction designed to be freeze proof prevents the water in the pipe from outside faucet becoming frozen. The silcock pipe is a spigot that is attached to the exterior of the house and can be connected to hoses. The large and comfortable plastic hand wheel valve turns in either direction for on and off operation to control the flow of water supply. The frost free silcock pipe length is measured 10 inches long with 1/2 inch pex connections for water supply. The hose bib under teh valve has a 3/4 inch male hose thread (MHT) that can be attached with a hose for water supply flow. The pipe is rated for pressure use of up to 150 PSI for water, oil and gas (WOG).

Every system experiences pressure fluctuations resulting in unwanted flow deviations and over or under-watering. In nursery, home & commercial landscape watering systems, pressures can fluctuate when zones cycle on or off or due to elevation changes in the irrigation system. A water pressure regulator works like an automatic valve to limit higher pressure to a desired constant lower pressure. It is important to maintain the correct operating pressure for optimum droplet size and radius of throw. Regulation is also imperative to properly meter application of fertilizers & herbicides through the irrigation system. Note: If you measure PSI of this Pressure Regulator with a Pressure Gauge, please note “End cap” style gauges do not measure accurately because they block flow of water when screwed onto the end of the regulator. The spring inside the regulator only activates when water is actively flowing through it. For accurate results, use a gauge that allows water to flow unblocked through the regulator while measuring.
