Do NOT purchase this product. Configuring it was a nightmare. The information from the HP product website is incredibly vague. You are left perplexed as to key details which are missing. HP support was non existent, I tried all day to get chat support. No one was ever available. The phone support, for this product that stated there was 24/7 support was also not available. If there was a zero rating this product it would get it.

I received a European power adapter when I received this instead of an American. No a huge issue, I just had to trade it out, but there it is. I set this up at a clients SOHO space and ease of install was nice. I have had installed several months now and zero complaints from client and that client would call me in need of a reboot. So great there. No lock up issues. But I typically don’t have those issues with external JetDirects but this was my first wifi version.

First, the object functions perfectly and I am glad we bought it.
Second, it was clearly refurbished and, although in what appeared to be original packing, was accompanied by an obviously copied cd which did not contain the OEM software.This indicates the refurbish was done by non-MFR.
Third, it was a pain in the as-terisk to set up because it was not erased properly prior to shipping.Because of that, following the setup instructions was maddening.Going to the OEM site to download the missing CD software was disappointing because it states to use the software that came with the CD, no DL available.
Overall, we have a product that functions correctly but I was quite disappointed by the false billing and poor quality of accompanying CD (which was pretty important).I would caution folks who aren’t 100% computer hardware savvy to consider buying from someone else.

I work for a large school system on the East coast and we have had many, many problems with EW2400 and EW2500 Hewlett Packard Jet Directs on our Microsoft server and Cisco Network.The issue is that the jet direct will work again if turned off and on, but after a time period of 20 minutes up to as long as overnight, they go completely offline and have to be manually powered off and on again.We have hundreds of these Jet Directs and frankly they are a thorn in my side.I have searched the Hewlett Packard support web site many times concerning this and have found no helpful suggestions.Stay away from these unless you like constantly fiddling with fussy equipment that arbitrarily goes offline by itself.
