This Standard Vacuum Breaker is compatible with most all shampoo bowls and it is a one way value that prevents contaminated water from mixing with the fresh city water supply. This unit prevents perm solution, color chemicals, and neutralizers from going back into the city’s water. A vacuum breaker is required in some country based on local plumbing codes. Please consult your plumber for local building codes.

The American Valve G31SL is a lead-free spring check valve with female threaded ended. This in line check valve is designed to prevent backflow. It may be used vertically or horizontally.

The stem assembly cartridge contains 2 O-rings. Overall length from the end of the cartridge to the other end of the stem is 7-5/8″. Remove existing stem from sillcock, then measure stem from end to end for accurate length. Installation tip: if cartridge seems too big to fit into the sillcock body, tap with hammer when installing. This will remove the burr where the 2 parts of the body connect making it able to fit. Note: This stem will not fit T-550 sillcocks made after 2007.
